True Auto Care serves the automotive repair and new tire needs of customers in Fergus, Elora, and Guelph, ON, and surrounding areas.
True Auto Care, located at 825 Tower St. South in Fergus, Ontario, has always been about more than just repairing vehicles. From the very beginning, our focus has been on caring for people, building lasting relationships, and earning the trust of the Centre Wellington community through honest service and quality workmanship.
In 2005, Ron and Caroline purchased the shop with a simple but powerful vision: to create a place where customers could feel confident, respected, and genuinely cared for. As the business grew and evolved, they recognized that the name True Centre Muffler & Brakes no longer reflected the full scope of what they offered. In 2012, the shop became True Auto Care—a name that better represented their commitment to complete, dependable vehicle care.
Over the years, Ron and Caroline have continually invested in the future of the shop—updating equipment, expanding services, and building a dedicated team who share their values of integrity, craftsmanship, and kindness. Today, our ten-bay facility allows us to service modern foreign and domestic vehicles efficiently, while still providing the personal attention that has always defined who we are.
In October 2023, a new chapter began as Jenna Smith joined the ownership team. As Ron and Caroline’s daughter, Jenna brings a lifelong connection to the values that have shaped True Auto Care and a deep appreciation for the community it serves. Together, Ron, Caroline, and Jenna remain committed to carrying forward the legacy of trust, integrity, and genuine care that has defined True Auto Care from the beginning.

As Usual I called Jenna at True Auto Care in Fergus She got me in the next day and actually finished the next day It was a lot of work and wouldn’t have been surprised if she said she needed it for a couple more days Somehow, they got it done, which was really important to me because I needed to travel to the states For a very important meeting These guys never fail thank you Jenna and company I would never go to anybody else!!!!

Appreciated the flexibility and communication. Overnight drop off helped, and the texted report post inspection with follow up phone conversation helped me sort through options. Clearly the desk staff are knowledgeable and care, and the mechanic did thorough work.

Wonderful experience, the girls at the front desk are patient and kind. The service was done well, on time. We pre-booked the snow tire removal and switchover for the spring. The owner is very friendly and kind and the courtesy service was super helpful on a busy day. Would absolutely recommend for anyone!

The service was professional and done right, and I especially want to thank Emily at the front desk. She was welcoming, friendly, and explained everything clearly, which made the whole process stress-free. I'm(KK) very satisfied with the work. Special shout-out to Mr. Skyler, the tech who worked on my car — he did a fantastic job, and now my auto is fully safe to drive and meets the new MTO digital safety standards. Such a great garage to deal with. My car broke down away from home and you guys did a great job getting me back up and going. I can’t say enough about how great my experience was.
