True Auto Care serves the automotive repair and new tire needs of customers in Fergus, Elora, and Guelph, ON, and surrounding areas.
True Auto Care is located at 825 Tower St. South in Fergus, ON as an auto repair center and tire dealer. Since the beginning, our business has been focused on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship on each and every automotive repair.
Ron and Caroline purchased the shop in 2005. In 2012, they decided it was time to change the name to reflect what had long been a full-service vehicle and repair shop that no longer fit the old title of True Centre Muffler & Brakes. We wanted to make sure everyone in Centre Wellington knew we offered much more.
Throughout Ron and Caroline’s ownership, they have been busy updating the shop and equipment, adding services, and finding the right people to serve you best. It has all been designed to make sure we are prepared to service today’s complicated and sophisticated cars and light trucks, both foreign and domestic. We have ten service bays.
As of October 2023, we warmly welcomed Jenna Smith to our ownership team. Jenna, the daughter of Ron and Caroline Brouwer, brings a personal connection to the legacy of quality, integrity, and customer care that True Auto Care has upheld from the very beginning.
Jenna’s dedication to outstanding service is already bringing new energy and vision to our team. While continuing to learn from Ron and Caroline’s expertise, Jenna is helping to carry forward the values that have made us who we are, while also looking to the future with innovative ideas to enhance and expand our offerings.

A very friendly and welcoming place. Got me booked in and service completed quickly, but didn’t skip over the little details that show care and attention to detail, in the name of speed. They even took the time to put my spare tire and all the tools I used to change my tire back together properly and away the way it was supposed to be in my jeep (I had just thrown them in the trunk). They left my car clean, were respectful of my time and even a little bag of cookies with a thank you note. Top notch from start to finish. Will definitely be returning to them for future service needs.

Stellar service ... again!! Limped into the shop at 2:30pm... with a "flat" run flat. After a quick assessment, they saw that my tire was slashed by something on the road. (I remember hitting something before my pressure sensors went crazy!). Immediate shuttle into town so I wouldn't be late for my appointment! Unfortunately, my run flats weren't something they stock. Update after my appointment.... "We can get you back on the road tomorrow". 10:30 next morning... text "your car's done!" Quick call gets me another immediate shuttle! Great to have them juggle their schedule to fit me in... great service, great price.

I have never had a mechanic supply pictures on any issues of my vehicle. It was amazing the full report that they give you. Jenna at the front is amazing to deal with. She was able to help me with all of my needs and explained everything with great detail and went above and beyond to help me figure out my problems.
